Cities lose Jane Jacobs

Urban planning guru Jane Jacobs has passed away. She had lived here in Toronto since 1969. I have her book The Death and Life of Great American Cities on my book shelf. I must admit I never finished reading, maybe I will now. Toronto has much to thank Jane for helping shape its future. I wonder what she thought about the new Opera House which looks like a Wal-Mart warehouse.
